[Style Swap] Snow Gum Bark

Looking to explore Mixer some more by trying out this challenge. My plan is to attempt a recreation of the bark of the Tasmanian Snow Gum, which can be extremely colourful (especially when damp) and full of swirling patterns.

  Really cool material pick! This definitely has some great potential and I'm eagerly awaiting to see how you approach the stylized/realistic looks.

  Cheers guys. I think I'm starting to get somewhere!

  

  Left and top-right images are in Toolbag and the bottom-right is in Mixer.

  This is the best iteration I've done so far. I'll continue to tweak it over weekend as not 100% happy with the grain, and I want to play with the forms some more.

  OK this is really impressive! Please keep us posted and let us know if you're facing any issues with achieving certain shapes :)

  I'd also recommend that you watch our Marmoset tutorial if you haven't already, should give you a bunch of tips and tricks on you can render your material.
