[STYLE SWAP] Scifi Greeble wall material
Hi,
I'm trying to achieve a scifi greeble material. After concepting with the Mixer I have decided to go with some industrial/mechanical piece. My goal is to push my knowledge of Mixer further and to do everything 100% inside Mixer without using Zbrush or alike. So in short, my goal is to use only procedurals, paint layers & scan data.
With my references, I'm trying to combine parts of a weapon, and some industrial design with a reference to the pattern design of the engineer ship, namely the walls.

It's been really hard work but I finally got it done! In the end I'm really happy with the results, I learned a ton. The final material uses parts from a weapon (RIS) kitbashed with piping. The style swap was really fun to do although it felt sometimes hard. The trickies part must have been on how to transfer Mixer to do stylised materials but I think I found at least some type of an workflow for that too. I posted everything on Artstation and will put a link here.
I also made Marmoset Viewer files for both of the materials styles, and those use a high poly mesh with textures as Marmoset can't show displaced meshes. Other than that, every image render is just a displaced plane with materials. I will post the layer stack video soon. I'm eager to see everyone elses final work too.
Turntables can be found in the Artstation site: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/XB9mVL
