    Current progress:

     

    I have a promising start to the look that I wanted to capture in the dunes. The tricky part now is to add the details. I have a list on items I want to scatter throughout the scene and I have a better idea as to what I want the final output should look like.

    I used blender to make some basic models that only go upwards to test out the mask stacks and I like it allot. I might be able to make some sort of mask for making different sections of my height maps into different materials.

     

     

     

    This is the quick test with some of the items but I think that some lost city lay to ruin in the dunes is what I want to go for.

    This means a few things mainly creating more height maps, playing with the scale of the dunes and the ruins and experimenting with the different styles.
