    Hi Ben,

I suppose it (asset ID: rfkkwaa) happened with the .OBJ file format? Could you try with .FBX and let me know?

    Best,
    Jin

Hi Jin, this was actually using the FBX export from Bridge using Live Link. I switched over to OBJ just to check, but the same thing has happened. Is this one of the packs that I need to manually separate the assets in Maya before exporting to UE4?

    Cheers,

    -Ben

I was just looking at this myself, just starting to play with live link to UE4 also exported with FBX, I think I must be missing something, looking forward to an answer 😃

    Cheers Hel

Edit - I forgot to mention that it wasn't with the same asset as mentioned it was with, the Icelandic_Rock_Scatter_skoaK and the other one I tried was Wooden_Sticks_And_Twigs_ojDlND... the Tall_Grass_rbEkP which is the other one I tried seems to work just fine though.

Our upcoming LiveLink updates will improve the Megascans workflow with UE4. The solution as for now (and not very practical, we know) is to seperate the meshes on your 3D Software of choice.

Is this fixed? Have the same problem. All meshes are clumped in to one. I have multiple assets with correct thumbnails but all these assets are the same clumped mesh. How to import 3d scatter in to UE4? Any tutorial? Zero information about it.

  • Hi rman197, we've recently released an update of the UE4 plugin that resolves this issue. The new plugin works with UE versions 4.22 and above and is available in the latest version of Bride (v2019.5). You'll have to update Bridge to update to the new plugin. Please do let us know if you run into further issues.
