I have some exciting news to share with you today.
First of all, I'm proud to say that we are joining forces with Epic Games, for what is the next step to democratize transformative technology and content.
For the past decade, we have traveled to every corner of the world to build Megascans, and we have created tools that help artists focus on creativity. Our mission is to scan the world, and to build an ecosystem that unlocks triple A level artistry for everyone. As part of Epic, we can not only greatly accelerate this mission, but also give back to you, our community, in ways we simply couldn’t have done on our own.
I’m beyond excited to announce that the Megascans library is now completely free for use with Unreal Engine.
That means that if you are using Megascans with UE4, you get free, unlimited, and instant access to all of Megascans through Bridge and Mixer, and a wealth of Megascans packs on the Unreal Engine Marketplace. This way, you can access the content in whatever way you prefer. If you’re using Megascans only with UE4, we’ll refund all of your subscriptions for 2019.

Furthermore, with the generous backing of Epic, we’re immediately slashing the pricing of Megascans, giving you nearly twice as much content to download, and removing the resolution cap—for everyone, regardless of what engine, DCC or renderer you love and rely on. We’re also giving you a refund for the remaining duration of your subscription period to allow you to hop onto one of our new plans. But that’s not all. Epic is helping us make the upcoming 2020 versions of Bridge and Mixer 100% free for everyone, with no subscription required and both fully featured. We are releasing these new free versions within a few weeks from now, as part of a massive update to both tools.

RazorbackDB unlimited Megascans access is licensed for use with Unreal Engine only and treats Megascans assets as UE-Only Content under the Unreal Engine End User License Agreement.
That said, as long as the final product is in UE4 you should be good. :)

First off all congratulations!
I have a couple of questions:
If i switch to an ue4 only subscription, what happens with the assets I purchased before? will I be able to use them with other programs?
Which leads me to the second question.
Sometimes I use blender to tweak the 3d assets from megascans before using them in UE4, tweaking LODs, UVs, textures, etc.
Will this workflow become impossible with an UE4 only subscription, I mean will I no longer be able to export the assets to blender?

Amazing news indeed and I am so ready, happy and eager to play around Megascan & Mixer 2020 when it comes out.
I am also in the same situation as my post neighbour imtaracks! I subscribed in september for a year and I don't really know if there's anything special that needs to be done for the whole refund situation.
Thank you again for the awesome news and I can't wait to dev some more on UE4 with Megascan.
PS: It's probably not the right post for this kind of comment but Mixer 2019.2.3 bugs out on my end, it doesn't display any menu and it just stays at the splash screen with the tiles. Just in case someone had the same issue!

Having the same issue with the Mixer 2019.2.3, stops at the splash screen stage. Version 2019.2.2 works ok.

When the new Mixer 2020 arrives, will I need to have a subscription to Megascans in order to texture my assets? Will it be the same free accessibility to Megascans for UE4, or no?
Of course, this partnership means you don't want someone using the free Megascans offer, exporting the assets to Maya and then using V-Ray for product visualization.
I guess what I'm asking is this offer free only connecting directly to UE4, or is it for the whole process to get to the final result?

But where ?? I have 2 accounts 1 for Megascans and other for UE4 (different emails), how can i get refund now ? IN my mega-scans account is not such a option :(

michalss I had the same issue as they've opted for an automated solution that assumes a user will be using the same e-mail for both (I was also searching for a button or the usual enter your User/PW to link up). You should be able to register a new Epic account to the same e-mail as your Quixel Account (make sure you agree to the Game Developer EULA through Epic) or change the e-mail address in your Epic Account to match your Quixel Account. I can't guarantee that will work as I found I had already registered an account to the same e-mail a while back but from what I've gathered from other users it should be possible.

Crimson, the Mixer build will ship with a collection of materials to work with. I can't say how many but it will be at least enough to develop models with to a reasonable extent. With it being completely free to use, you should be able to drop a one-month subscription to Megascans and add even more materials to work with!
