    Hi,

Having the wrong timezone in windows date/time settings can cause this issue. Please make sure that both set time automatically and set timezone automatically are checked.

Let me know how it turns out.

    Hi,

    Please follow the below steps:

    1. Close Bridge, if already running.
    2. Navigate to C:\Users\[Username goes here]\AppData\Roaming.
    3. Delete Bridge and Megascans folder.
    4. Restart Bridge.

Same here, i tried it on 3 Machines, all behave the same way.

Bridge opens and for a second you can see the settings. Then they pop away and the app shows just a blank page.

Trying to open settings does nothing.

I deleted Bridge and Megascans folders and attached log from a "fresh" start.

Setting Time and Timezone automatically also did not change the behaviour

Hey, I'm having a similar issue where nothing appears when bridge is open.
Where or when do we 'set time automatically and set timezone automatically'?

    Hi,

Could you please follow the steps detailed here:
    https://help.quixel.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360009465778-GUIDE-Types-of-Issues-and-Basic-Troubleshooting

Namely, Run Bridge as Administrator: Bridge requires admin rights (on Windows) and unrestricted internet access. Make sure local firewalls (e.g. Windows Firewall) or antivirus programs are not interfering with your connection or blocking Bridge. Here is an article explaining how to allow/block applications in windows firewall How To Allow Or Block Apps In Windows Firewall in Windows 10.

    Hey,

I've followed those steps. I still get the same result. Only thing is I don't know how to check/change my timezone as its not stated where and when i can do this?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Simply go to your device's Settings > Time and Language (this is the specific path for Windows). Then set both date and time as automatic and save. Then re-start Bridge.

    Hey,

I believe it's already set to automatic. I'm using windows 7 and the only option I see is 'Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving time'.

    I've also allowed firewall access.

Still nothing. I've also done the whole delete 'megascans bridge' and 'bridge' folder and tried re installing.

    Hi,

Bridge is not supported on Windows 7. Microsoft has discontinued support for Windows 7. The official date for extended support to end was January 14th, 2020. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/windows/end-of-windows-7-support

We would recommend to update to the latest version of Windows in order to be able to use Bridge effectively.

...and unrestricted internet access. Make sure local firewalls (e.g. Windows Firewall) or antivirus programs are not interfering with your connection or blocking Bridge. ...

That's not gonna work if there is a corporate firewall. Can you tell me specific ports to open?

What i found from Resource monitor is

    28241

    28456

    28458

Are these ports static, are there more needed or are they changed randomly?

Please review https://help.quixel.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000046177-Which-ports-and-addresses-needs-to-be-whitelisted- for a list of ports that need to be whitelisted.

"1. Close Bridge, if already running.
    2. Navigate to C:\Users\[Username goes here]\AppData\Roaming.
    3. Delete Bridge and Megascans folder.
    4. Restart Bridge."

First time i installed Quixel Bridge , i had this black screen issue.
The cause was that export settings didn't appeared at first setup and i closed Quixed manually.

My "2. Navigate to C:\Users\[Username goes here]\AppData\Roaming." was in "D:/Megascan" and i deleted it in explorer.

Then when i launched again Bridge , i recreated "D:/Megascan" in explorer and export settings appreared <3
