Hello- I've been looking for a way to manage my personal content library I've built up over the years and was hoping Bridge would be a suitable. I'm an Unreal user, but I think my question is broad enough to just cover basic Bridge use.
I have tried downloading various Megascans assets and then exporting that to UE4, and it works like a charm. Next I tried importing my own models to Bridge. I was pleased with the various keyword/category options, and surprised that it was able to identify the types of maps I was using even though my naming convention is slightly different than what Megascans uses. My asset successfully appeared in Bridge under the *External category.
Unfortunately, even though this asset is now listed in Bridge, it doesn't export into any UE4 project of mine. No error appears. Bridge will say "Exporting", but nothing ever shows up in UE4.
I'm wondering if there are any guidelines to follow regarding naming conventions or how I can prepare my assets to work with Bridge. Thanks for your time.
*sidenote: it appears everything I import appears ONLY in the "external" category, regardless of what categories I assign to my imported asset. I can understand why you might want to segregate Megascans content from a user's imported content, but it would be nice to still be able to sort my own imports by categories/subcategories.
