It's exciting to have a serious competitor to Substance Painter/Designer. I think many people will opt to try something different now that Adobe has acquired Algorithmic.
Having said that, what is Quixel's plan for keeping Mixer a good alternative to Substance products? Right now, if you use Unreal, it's a great deal but if you don't, then you are stuck with paying a subscription fee which is frankly the thing that a lot of people don't like about Substance Painter and Adobe.
Looking to the future, what will be the features that set Mixer apart from Substance and will Quixel consider non-Unreal developers into its plan?
