I've spent the day creating a custom surface on mixer. I had the directory for my mixer surfaces in general set to Documents>megascan library>Custom>Surface> (the surfaces title is ''The original'') and this is where the surface is saved to and as. I can see the various maps and the preview of the surface so I know it did in fact save. But after then attempting to export the surface over to bridge. It seems to have only partly exported, as there is no preview image within my birdge library and where the preview image of the custom surface should be it sais ''megascans lowres asset with ID undefined''. I thought this may have just been how custom surfaces appear in bridge's library so i tried to import it into UE4 just encase but it did not import into my unreal engine library from bridge. looking online afterwards I attempted the most common fix on google which explained I should ''align the file directory's of bridge and mixer'' and in doing so I have messed up in some way and am now not even able to open my custom surface within mixer either which is fustrating to say the least. So the first priority is to get the maps imported into my mixer again as a project. and the end goal then is to sort out the correct locations for both mixer and bridges to confide with eachother with my custom surface imports.
I definintely have all the maps saved both in the megascans library in the directory mentioned above and I made a backup of the maps on my desktop.
On mixer there is no sign of ''The original'' (my saving name of choice) project. and even though I can see in the file directory Documents>megascan library>Custom>Surface> that all my files are in fact here, when I attempt to import these files in via mixer, there are no maps, nothing. except the name of the project and an empty file for '' the original'' where everything SHOULD lay. its as if mixer can not ''see'' them.
