I understand it as by holding the shift key or shift+s combo we can create aligned strokes (ref documentation).
For me, this does not work when using a custom plane / mesh
Is that as expected or may I do something wrong here?
Steps to reproduce:
Prerequisites: A rectangular plane as OBJ file format. I am not sure whether if the plane's size aspect ratio counts here, but for the plane I have used, the width is longer than the height / rectangular.
1. Create a new mix using the custom mesh.
2. Add a textureset layer above the initial solid layer.
3. Add a paint mask to the new layer.
4. Try paint with a basic brush.Try use the shift keys etc. to create aligned strokes.
Expected result: Aligned strokes when using the hotkeys+left mouse click.
Actual result: Strokes works as if shift key is not used.
Note: This works as expected when using the built-in/default plane in Mixer
Let me know if something is unclear.

Edit2: Mixer version: 2020.1.1 Beta
