    Hi,

I'm having the same issue, i also got the canceled subscription, but was still able to download textures on that day. Since yesterday the download doesnt even start anymore, i instantly cancels. Reinstallation and cleaning Registry didnt work, also my internet connection works fine.

Please give us some feedback on that issue.

Same here.. Pretty annoying. Can´t download any asset for 2 days now. I tried reinstalling and removing the quixel folders from appdata but it´s still not working.. Exact same situation you described. Starts downloading with insanely low speed (just like 5kb/s) but then instantly cancels.

Received an email from support today. They basically blame everyone else but them, my internet provider (Telekom) or my location (Germany).. yeah right. Also they say that coronavirus leads to network congestion due to the increases number of people working from home. Strangely the Bundesnetzagentur doesnt see any signs of a soon overloaded network.

"Try to use the website or Bridge at different period of the day (morning, noon, evening) and see if it gets any better. "

I did, no change. Please fix this.

    Hi Sebastian,

This isn't "blame" - it's literally what's happening right now. COVID-19 has caused a serious strain on a lot of our modern society, including our Internet infrastructure due to so many people using it simultaneously. Please keep in mind that servers aren't direct connections. There are points in-between that can be overloaded and struggling.

We'll fix what we're able to fix. Thank you for your patience.

I am experiencing the same issues unfortunately my own internet speed test shows data speeds of 500+ MB/S so it is not my local IP,  and the quixel download is the only issue I am having w/ internet currently, hoe you guys manage to get it sorted..

@Johnathan - it's been 4 months and I'm still unable to download anything from your website or from Bridge. Other, similar sites and repositories work perfectly fine and have been working more or less perfectly fine during the last 4 months. This truly does seem to be more of an issue with your services than others, even considering the very real COVID-19 effects.

Perhaps you could change to a server provider that is capable of handling the traffic you require? Or perhaps you can find some other way to fix this problem.

Could you clarify where you're located? I must stress again that location along with network congestion plays a critical role in how bandwidth transfers. Even a single failure point between your computer and our AWS servers can cause a significant slowdown.

US, near Seattle. I have Cable internet (not fiber), about 200 Mbps. Should I try a VPN at another US location?

If you have access to a VPN, I'd recommend using it to see what location offers you the best level of service. Some users have reported that switching to Sweden helps resolve a lot of congestion. I personally get 10-20mb/s in Cary, NC, using AT&T Fiber through Bridge. Before that I was getting 8mb/s on Spectrum cable Internet in Orlando, FL.

Yep, I am on Spectrum as well right now. I'll see if I can try a VPN and will post here if it works.

@Johnathan - I tried NordVPN on both a Midwest US server and a Swedish server and the results were identical to without the VPN.

What is happening is, in Bridge, the downloads immediately fail (I am trying to get some Tree Trunks, if the issue is perhaps related to certain assets, you can see the specific ones in the image).

On the website, when I click the small download button, nothing happens at all.

Do I have any options here locally? Is this issue somehow isolated to certain people? Perhaps you could download those trunks for me and upload them to Dropbox or something :P

Apologies for the delay in response here - are you fellows still encountering this issue? If so, please provide any and all information you can, including:

    Location
    ISP
    Connection quality (type, speed)
Any other relevant data you feel may be useful

I'll escalate this to our front end team and see what we can do about it.

    Hi Jonathan (Community Manager)

When we use software like internet download manager to download the assets from the website, it shows that the links are not direct and we are not able to resume the download. This is happening with an indirect link. I believe this is the reason we face the Download Canceled issue in the bridge.

    Location: Iraq

    ISP: Earthlink

    Connection: NanoBridge Wireless, 20-50 Mbps

Hi, I got similar problem. I can't download, it's not FAILING, it's CANCELED ! And not by me, it's downloading then after a while it cancel the download !

I can download via the website, but then if I import the asset into bridge, I won't be able to export them (the export button turn blue with no text).

It's such a mess !! really, downloads via the website don't respect my setting (FBX) and get the meshes in ABC with not folder structure and won't export.

If I download via the bridge app, cause sometimes I managed to get a few, by trying like 34 time to download the same asset, then the files are in folders (textures, previews, Var1...) and I can export them to unreal.

I'm downloading from France, and my connection is STABLE and works very well everywhere else.

Please, upgrade you servers or something !

The only assets I've been able to get are the very small ones, in 2K, and still it's a hassle to download 20Mb ! I've got to keep trying for hours, litterally. For regular assets in 4 ou 8K, just forget about it in the state your bridge download is.... sad...

Do you even care ? I've read only one response from the quixel team in this thread, a year ago ...

Oh no sorry, I forgot about a response 6 month ago...

    Hey ZARO444kA,

    thanks for your message.

The Bridge update did improve the download problems, but not entirely (still have some canceled downloads, but I can live with that).

My main issue now is that I've been trying and trying to download some asset I really need, to the point where now, I've reach a limit that forbid me to download them again !!

    sick of it...

They've suggested changing DNS to Google DNS, instructions in the link: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using.

It worked for some users: https://help.quixel.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360014807178-Problems-downloading-assets-.

I'm experiencing the same problem every time! I download one or two things fine and them boom, nothing works anymore. Downloads just start and then died without any message, nothing.
I don't know if Quixel is working on the problem or just trying to put it under the carpet... Please help us! What's the point of having all of those beautiful scanned assets if we can't even download them properly? Marketing? Is that it? Well watch it fade away then if you  guys don't take the time to fix it.

    We are an angry mob!
