I still cannot get it to start. Tried installing it manually, but I'm still getting:

"Plugin 'PythonSciptPlugin` failed to load because module `PythonScriptPluginPreload` could not be found.

Hi Daniele. I have UE4 2.25 and every time I try to sign in to Bridge using my Epic Games account it doesn´t let me. No problems if I do that with Quixel Megascans account. Don´t now what happens.

    Hey Sebastian,

Does it give you any error message?

With the Bridge app closed try to "Sign in with Epic Games" here on the quixel website, if you manage to sign in then open Bridge and try again "Sign In with Epic Games".

    Where is the Error?

    1. Got UE4 installed.

    2. Pressing install bridge and it installs without giving me the chance to tell destination folder.

    3. I open bridge and download asset.

    4. Pressing export, directing to Plugin Folder.

    What have i done wrong?

After this four steps i replaced the files in plugin folder with the 5.7 files from ur link, same problem so.....

I have manually installed the plugin and it shows in UE, but bridge still says download plugin. And when I click on it the endless looping "downloading the latest" plugin starts, anyone faced same issue or fixed it? thanks.

This solution does work for me. Thank you!

What you, for whom this hasn't worked, should do is follow exactly the instructions for deleting the folders as told above. Then let bridge download the plugin and since it is 168 mb roughly it might take time and sometimes if the download is stuck, restart the bridge and download and install plugin again.

Then find the zip file in appdata as advised above and copy/paste/replace the "Megascansplugin" copied from your engine version folder. I just did it and it works now.

I had this issue yesterday and I am glad I came looking for it here.

Thank you! It really work for me. For some reason the installation from Quixel was trying to install the plugin for a past verison of Unreal. The files were already in the path, but for the wrong version of unreal. So again, thanks!

I can't seem to get this to work with 4.25.3 (source built). I've tried everything from within Bridge and the manual install, but always get the '"Plugin 'PythonSciptPlugin` failed to load because module `PythonScriptPluginPreload` could not be found' error.

Hey studiodonderslag, go to plugins>support>Plugins>unreal>6.2>legacy>liveLink and then maybe check the last file and delete PythonSciptPlugin . I also got the same problem but it got solved by this way

    Hi Rupam,

I've fixed it by deleting all unnecessary folders in my project folder (.vs, Binaries, Build, Intermediate, Saved), regenerate the VS project files, rebuilding the project in VS and rebuilding the source built engine (the entire solution, just to be sure). At first I only saw a white Megascans icon in the toolbar, but after a restart everything worked and I could communicate with Bridge.

Hope this helps anyone having problems with a custom Unreal engine.

    Thanks for this!

Had issues with the exact same. Elevating to Administrator per your advice was the trick for me. Obnoxious feature that - having to run in admin mode. Somebody ought to look into that ;)

BTW: one can permanently set Bridge to run in Administrator Mode by selecting the Properties for any Bridge icon (right-click icon > Properties) and then checking on "Run this program as an administrator" from the Compatibility tab. Click OK to complete.

Thank you so much for explaining this - it worked for me by following your instructions - it took me a long time to find this post - it really shouldnt be this difficult

Dude, you saved me from having to rebuild a tutorial from scratch. 3 months later and the 4.26 posts still didn't have any solutions. This worked in 4.26 for me:

    1. Check Bridge for updates (was latest). Close it and Unreal.

    2. Right-click on Bridge and Run as Administrator. Plugin now installs.

didn't work for me. megascans icon doesn't appear in unreal editor and in the bridge when I hit export it gives and error saying make sure unreal is open even though it's open and running.
