I've just wanted to update both Mixer and Bridge to latest versions and I've noticed some really unprofessional parts of installation process which should definitely be addressed, as they are not up to professional standards of modern software, especially for a company acquired by Epic.
1. Bridge is by default installed to C:\Program Files\Bridge, with no implication of relation to Quixel. Adobe has a software called Bridge too, so some distinction is in order.
2. Previous version of Quixel Mixer was correctly installed into C:\Program Files\Quixel\Quixel Mixer. Why does the Mixer from Quixel go into Quixel subfolder but bridge does not?
3. The new, updated version of Quixel Mixer installer defaults to C:\Program Files\QuixelMixer-2020.1.2. This is very scary, as it implies one can have accidentally installed multiple different versions of Mixer. It also means that installation process will now pollute root Program Files folder with numerous Mixer folder with different version numbers. That is very messy. Quixel products should be encapsulated in a Quixel folder inside program files.
4. During Mixer installation, when it comes to both selecting Quixel Mixer installation location as well as Megascans download location, the "Browse for Folder" window is opened at fixed 320x320px size, which can not be resized, making searching for destination folder infuriating. I don't believe standards of 320px non resizeable file browse dialog from Windows 3.1 times are adequate in third decade of 21st century.
Please fix these, as they are really embarrassing.
