I refreshed my library (Library>Refresh) and this solved the issue of not being able to load a 3D Asset.  Still no solution to the problem with installing 2020.1.2.

I cant even install 2020.1.2, when i have to choose the Local Library Path it says "The path you enter is invalid" no matter what path I choose...

If someone has fixed the issue please say it!!!

Edit: I installed it with the default path choices and then I migrate it to the disk i want it to and everything seems working as it should be.

    Same here.

First says not enough space for smartpack 1 (whether that's chosen or not), then with everything turned off won't accept a network location to install library, even though it references it from the previous install.

Only works if I choose a local user folder....*groans* I can't stand quixel software updates, always seems to have new issues...

Downloading the smart pack atm. Hopefully I can just move it to the network when complete and reference the correct folder in mixer.

Can you guys attempt a clean install? By this I mean uninstalling Mixer, restarting, and then reinstalling with the latest installer available from https://quixel.com/mixer. Let us know how that goes if you could, kindly.

Jonathan, I'm a little unclear about how this new installation works.  When I do the uninstall, and then re-install, will I need to re-install the 2 Smart Material packs and the Sample Mixes, or can I just re-install 2020.1.2?

I had the same problem, but it seemed to work fine and I moved on. But now it corrupted my material mix, still trying to recover it. Be aware.

Jonathan, any thoughts on the re-install question I have above?

Also, with 2020.1.1 still installed (due to the aforementioned errors), I notice that Quick Export does not work (says I have no export location specified) and Export to Library is greyed out.  Under Preferences, I have proper paths set for both Mixer files and Local Library, so can you please help me get these export features working again.

    Thanks.

Jonathan, looks like the Quick Export and Export to Library issues may have been operator error.  I'm fairly new to Mixer and I seem to be able to successfully export when working on a Plane, but cannot export when working with a 3D Asset.  Is this normal Mixer behavior, or is there indeed something buggy?  Thanks.

Hi Jonathan.  Any thoughts on the re-install (and other questions) above?

I regularly have to uninstall mixer completely and reinstall it when there is an update to get it to install correctly.

    Hi everyone,

if you are still having this problem i noticed that "the path is invalid" doesn't show up when you install it to another drive. So let's say i want to install on my C-drive i need to start the installation-exe from my D-drive. I read that in some other forum and that worked for me.

I am having trouble Installing Mixer, similar to Dean above.  When installing with the texture packs, I get an error message.  But when I install without them I can't move past the "select paths" screen.  I have yet to find a solution, Jonathan (Community Manager) have you seen this before? Do i need to specify the save locations or keep it as default?

    Thank you,

    Brandon
