You can export any asset into Mixer at any size, but be aware of limitations related to texel density. It's best to texture assets designed to be seen up-close at the appropriate scale and using a method that allows for high texel density, such as using the Landscape system in UE. With regards to Mixer exporting meshes to Bridge, that's a feature that hasn't been implemented yet - but should be on the horizon at some point.

I found this entry googling max size of mesh to import into Mixer and saw the reply that any size mesh can be imported. I tried to import a high resolution mesh from Gaea so I can make detailed materials to apply to the low poly mesh later in Houdini, but it failed immediately and gave no info on the error. It just failed. The low poly version imported fine. The high poly has a huge poly count, above 16 mil. Is that why it failed or should I look for another reason? Thank you!

I'm sorry for a late answer but what kind of mesh do you have so it has to have above 16 mil polygons? Try remeshing it first. Or you can generate mesh with less polygons then texture it then bake missing geometry back
