I have exactly the same problem, edges are incorrect even when the mesh is super simple. Not sure what's going on. Did you solve that somehow?

Bevels. Bevels on every edge. Mixer will not detect edges from seams, period. Alternatively, I created a bevel edge map image baked from Blender first using the TexTool addon.

Thanks! Just tried that and it works. You saved me another hour of searching! Ahah! :-)

Do you use Zen UV or something like that to create your UV Map? I found out that Smart UV Project is pretty bad. And Unwrap is painful.

I'm completely new to modeling, so I just unwrap manually and I've gotten pretty good results.

Oh my goodness. I was having the same exact issue, read this, applied a bevel modifier and exported it with the "apply modifiers" box ticked, and bam, worked like a DREAM! Thank you so much, I cannot tell you how much time you just saved me.
