    OK,

Got it to work with the 2020.1.5 update, - but only -  when I started Mixer as a administrator before the update.

Which doesn't make sense, as all relevant material data etc, is on a different drive with no user related locks.

Hi RobW! Apologies for the delay in response.

The smart materials are created using different surfaces together. The maps which are incorporated in each surface tend to have a specific resolution. The download size also depends upon the resolution of those maps. So when you download a "Smart Material" component from the Mixer installer, it not only downloads the Smart materials into the "Smart Material" folder in your Megascans library, it also downloads and places the surface assets in their respective folders that were used to create those smart materials.

In order to download, you can simply check the box for the specific pack of Smart Materials in the installer. It will download them from there and place everything accordingly in your system. If the component was installed successfully then you'll be able to find them in your library under the "Smart Materials" tab.

You can test it out at your end by checking the memory of both "Surface" and the "Smart Materials" folders in the Megascans library before and after downloading new smart materials.

    Well...

Like I said, the material packs didn't install properly, so I tried again, but now as a administrator.

This worked and I now have appr. 11Gb of smart materials and other maps. This corresponds with the separate material packs I had in the first try.

Thanks for the response, and this can now be closed as far as I'm concerned.

I'm glad that it worked like that. Thanks for sharing the feedback.
