    Hi Jomathan,

I'm experiencing the same issue. I have loaded my curvature map, but eye-ball is still inactive. I'm on latest version 2020.1.5

I think the visibility icon for the Curvature and Material ID channels is a round-about way of indicating that they are supplemental channels rather than directly visible like the rest. Curvature has no affect on its own and is used only as a driver for various processes. As far as I know, all other layers and surface layers exclude those two channels, so it's maybe not the best way to distinguish them.

If you want to check if your curvature map is loaded, make a surface layer, give it a mask stack, and toss on the curvature component. Set the viewport preview to the active or layer mask while it's selected to see its effect.

As you said Ben, I think Its working correctly the curvature is loaded and working. Guess that's the main thing :-)

Yeah, they should maybe add a third visibility state for those since the closed eye symbol is used as half a toggle everywhere else, or change the eye itself to be something else (like a computer symbol for background files).
