Skip texture map conversion
AnsweredAdd an option to skip the conversion of the texture maps.
Current methods are ridiculous. Example:
- I have a custom asset where all the maps are in .jpg format.
- Each map is 16mb max.
- I import it as the custom asset.
- I click "Export"
- And then Bridge converts ALL THE MAPS to whatever format I've set in the export settings, what results into ~60mb .PNGs, .EXRs and whatever...
I personally think that this is terrible, especially if you have a big library of custom assets, or even the Megascans. Current method DOUBLES or even TRIPLES the disk space usage for totally unnecessary things!! And I think that this makes it literally unusable...
The way to fix it is extremely simple: Add "Do not convert" Checkbox when exporting an asset, or even in the global user settings so it never converts anything.
The idea behind the app is Brilliant and I totally love it, but the issue described above's just killing it...
Thank you.
