    Same here. The paint layer created has broken link to where ever the paint information is stored during creation.

    Need to do a test and save the paint layer separately and see if it is read in when I reopen the mix.

    Not really. No special slot for that. Depends on what you have been painting.

    You have to be creative using the Advanced Export Config possibilities. Export - Texture Sets and the pencil icon on the right for desired texture set to get there. If you are able to save out a texture with the paint on you can reimport it as a surface layer. You might also create a color ID for it using for instance PhotoShop.

    I have not really tried it out yet. Just ideas that might work.

    OlaHjelm, Kindly load your mix again that's causing the paint masks issues. If the problem still persists, close Mixer and  share your log file with me. 
    Windows
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Quixel\Quixel Mixer\Player.log
    Mac OSX
    ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

    On Issues

    1. Have you tried to reproduse the error? Is there still going to be those extreme long file names I will stick with regular import to Unreal without Bridge

    2. Painted masks is still missing. Where should I send the log-file?

    3. Is there a backward compability problem. I have comparing screen shots of the problem. Do you want me to share? I use alot of older Mixes over and over and would not like to recreate them in QuixelMixer-2021.1.0
