Any update on support for exporting to Unreal Engine 5?
AnsweredSo close of having an amazing pipeline for UE5, but from what I can tell, it's impossible to use the Export Target option in Mixer to get an asset into UE5.
Right now I have to just export the textures and recreate the shader nodes manually, (which prevention was the whole reason why I tried out Quixel in the first place).
Is there any workarounds, or do we just have to wait?
Thanks!

Mixer doesn't export directly to UE5. The only tool that does is Bridge in UE5. You'll have to manually drag and drop assets into UE. I wouldn't recommend building a pipeline around UE5 at the moment as it's still early access and subject to a lot of changes in each build that releases.

Sorry I mean custom local assets. For example, is it possible to import local library assets from Bridge in UE5?
Example:
1. I created a model in Blender
2. I imported it to Quixel Mixer, textured it, and added it to my local library.
3. I now want that asset in UE5.
Just to confirm, there is no way to automatically import that asset into UE5 correct? I need to import the FBX and the all the textures, then manually hook everything up.
I apologize if this is confusing! I really appreciate your help!

I did have one more question, no worries if this is out of scope!
Quixel Mixer has an example mix with a titled floor with displacement that I was using this to test importing to UE5.
The displacement map is pretty essential to that mix, but UE5 doesn't have support for displacement maps?
Does this just make all of the displacement options in Quixel Mixer obsolete?
I've looked/asked around, and it seems the only solution to this is to bring the map into Blender and displace the actual geometry of the mesh which is not ideal.
