    Hi,

    Thanks for posting!

When using the version of Bridge that exists within UE5, all assets downloaded are done so in UASSET format. For this reason, the assets downloaded within the built-in version of Bridge will differ from those downloaded in the standalone version of Bridge - even if you're downloading the same exact asset because the standalone version of Bridge does not offer UASSET file format.

For this reason, we recommend that you separate your libraries, one for all assets downloaded from the standalone version of Bridge, and another for all of the UASSET format downloads from within the built-in version of Bridge. I hope it helps!

Seems very unfriendly to users.............. why have different versions? I have been using Bridge in UE4 and downloaded numerous assets - which look to be uassets. Now I open from UE5 and nothing in my local library. Do I have to re-download everything?

Hi Joao, when you download assets from the internal build of Bridge within UE5EA, the assets are downloaded in .UASSET file format, a file format that the standalone Bridge is not compatible with.

When downloading from the standalone version of Bridge, 3D assets are downloaded in FBX format, and textures can either be .JPG, or .EXR.

    Hi Laila Shahzad

I just find this topic for the same reason I have and after reading it unfortunately I am completely agree with Joao this function is completely unfriendly.

At least making the standalone version of the bridge functional on UE5 too for making it possible to use for UE4/5 with the same library otherwise we have to download double time too many files specially when it comes to Metahuman and using it side by side with Maya and UE5.
