Blender ACES support - Details regarding plugin

Hello!
I have read previous posts about the Bridge not supporting ACES colorspace with blender
I wanted to know if this is Only plugin side or with the bridge itself
Like - Bridge marks images as Basecolor/Albedo and Plugin marks the image with Albedo tag with sRGB colorspace
or
The Bridge itself marks the colorspace of the texture and then hands it over to plugin for export to blender
Like, is it doable by change in code of plugin or will the bridge itself has to support ACES for this to work
