  • Hello, AndreiGD

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. Currently, Mixer is not capable of exporting directly into Unreal Engine 5.

Please note that we do not provide development roadmaps and are unable to discuss potential timelines for future updates or what those updates may contain. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Is there a way to set up bridge standalone exporting to UE5?

  • Hello FranklyTired,

There is not. The reason for this is due to how the assets are exported. With the standalone version of Bridge, assets are capable of being exported in FBX format to facilitate a large array of supported software. With the built-in version of Bridge, all assets are downloaded and imported into the project in UASSET file format.

Because the standalone version of Bridge does not support UASSET file export, it isn't possible to export into UE5.

Hello Ian - Product Support Specialist,

Thanks for your answer and your time!

I understand about the roadmap and the timelines, it was just a curiosity from my side 😄 I guess that until any news the only way is to drag the files in the UE5's content browser and manually create a material

That is correct, Mixer to Unreal Engine 5 requires a manual workflow. We appreciate your understanding!

    Ian - Product Support Specialist

Can I ask to add the FBX export support for the standalone version to UE5? That was the way people were importing Mixer into UE4, and the reason most people were -myself included- using Mixer.

Of course! Please feel free to post any requests for our software on either the Bridge or Mixer Feature Request Boards.
