The synchronization problem of the built-in Quixel Bridge in UE5

  • Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. Mixer is not currently compatible to export to UE5. Please also note that while you are able to export directly to the standalone version of Bridge, the built-in version of Bridge in UE5 will not reflect the same assets as the standalone version for a few reasons.

    1. The standalone version of Bridge is capable of using multiple licenses, such as Personal, Indie, Studio, or Unreal Unlimited, whereas the built-in version of Bridge is compatible only with the Unreal Unlimited license. Because of this, the Library Path designated for each version of Bridge needs to be different unless both are using the Unreal Unlimited license.

    2. The Built-In version of Bridge and the standalone version use different file types. Because the standalone version of Bridge is capable of exporting to a wide variety of software, it exports primarily in FBX format. However, since the built-in version of Bridge is only for use in Unreal Engine 5, all assets downloaded and exported are in UASSET format.

Because of this, all content downloaded on your paid plan needs to be segregated from any content downloaded on the Unreal Unlimited plan, including copies of the same assets, as all content downloaded on the Unreal Unlimited plan is legally Unreal Engine-Only content and may not be used in any productions outside of UE

I hope this helps to clarify! Please feel free to reach out if there's anything else that we may assist with!
