Downloaded assets in Bridge Desktop App does not show up in Bridge Desktop App
CompletedI am having an issue where just a fraction of the downloaded assets are shown in the quixel bridge desktop app. I am using the latest version 2022.0.3 and I've roughly 8500 downloaded assets on drive however only 92 (metahumans) of them show up. None of the megascans assets show up in the desktop app.
I've tried:
made sure I am logged in to my Unreal Engine account
view > reload... (it doesn't find any of the already downloaded ones)
switched library path, then back... still doesn't seem to register them
Not sure really whats going on... any help to remedy this would be amazing!

Hello Micha.Bostrom,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. Assets may not appear as intended if you've altered the Library Path from which Bridge saves and loads your acquired assets. To be sure you're loading the correct library path, navigate to the folder on your disk that houses your Megascans. Please note that this folder location is manually placed, so it will differ from my own location.
Within this folder are the additional folders; Custom, Downloaded, External, support, temp and a library.qms file. Once you've located the folder that houses these, copy the file path and paste it within Bridge's Library Path directory under Edit > Settings, then restart Bridge as Admin and let me know if the issue persists.
With regard to your query about downloaded assets in Unreal Engine 5. Please note that all assets you wish to use in Unreal Engine 5, even duplicates of those you've downloaded in the standalone version of Bridge, will need to be downloaded again as they are saved in UASSET file format which the standalone version of Bridge is not capable of downloading. -
Wow somehow that sorted it launching the bridge desktop app as admin! :D
In terms of download assets again, would it be possible on your part to lets say develop a script that would recognise what assets are already downloaded to the selected folder and just download the uassets? I am sure I am not alone in this but something that would be useful for other users.
Many thanks,
Micha

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm glad to hear that you're up and running!
I'd be happy to pass your script idea along to our developers, however, to ensure that your suggestion isn't lost in the day-to-day shuffle of development, please also post this suggestion on our official Bridge Feature Request page.
