Questions about exporting MetaHumans via Bridge to disk
Not plannedHi,
I'm using the Quixel Bridge application for Desktop since yesterday and I want to download MetaHumans (MHs) to disk.
I've encountered that created MHs for Unreal Engine (UE) 5, made with the "Mesh to MetaHuman" function, won't be downloadable outside of UE5 but I want to create some new cloths and accessories for my MHs and therefore I need to be able to use the MHs e.g. in Blender. Is there any way to make this possible?
Another thing is, I've noticed that MHs for UE4 are downloadable but only in 8K resolution which increases the time to download them immensely. I would appreciate it if I could change their quality to a lower resolution like for the MHs for UE5.
Edit:
Okay, so the download of the MH for UE4 just finished and now I get the message that this asset can only be directly exported to Unreal Engine or Maya. Wow, this is really annoying. I've waited more than 2 hours for nothing!

Blender is not an authorized target for MetaHuman content - Maya and UE are the only platforms supported by the service as you've seen due to MetaHumans being UE-only content.

I already figuered out that you didn't design it that way, but that's the reason why I'm asking. Isn't the MetaHumans technology designed to allow any user (including indie developers and hobbyists) to create content with it? How many indie developers and hobbyists do you know that use a legally licensed copy of Maya? Blender is now also supported by Epic Games or not, so why are you excluding Blender users?
