Node-Bifrost is damaged and should be moved to the bin error on MacOS with Unreal Engine 5
CompletedI cannot seem to access the Quixel Bridge within Unreal Engine 5 on my MacOS. I have tried removing and reinstalling the plug in multiple times to be greeted with this error, and clicking on either move to trash or cancel crashes the whole engine. I am able to reopen the engine after moving the said "node-bifrost" file to the trash, but am unable to use quixel bridge - greeted with an error saying background service failed. I have enabled all the web plugins necessary.
This is my error log:

Steps to install the custom build created to fix the issue on Mac Ventura:
1) Ensure that UE5 and Bridge are not running.
2) Navigate to UE_5.0/Engine/Plugins/Bridge/ThirdParty/Mac using Finder and delete the "node-bifrost.app" file present there.
3) Open the following link, download the zip file and extract.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U_ceBJraC6DEy3NlVcKjzYao3Fcb0xTt/view?usp=sharing
4) Replace the node-bifrost.app file under UE_5.0/Engine/Plugins/Bridge/ThirdParty/Mac.
5) Right-click on the node-Bifrost.app file and you will be shown a prompt.
6) Select Open.
7) Launch Unreal Engine 5 and open up Bridge. You should now be able to download and add assets to your project. -
Yasir Q Thank you! This solved my problem.

Hello Andy2
Thank you for reaching out to us through the support forum.
Could you kindly confirm if you've tried the custom build shared in my previous message & still experiencing issues?

Me and one of my students are having the same problem. We tried downloaded your node-bifrost file. It won't open. See screenshot below.
When I click show in finder nothing happens. Usually that's the work around to manually open files
